A school-wide flood occurred over the weekend of September 7, originating from the girls’ bathroom on the main floor of TJMS. The water caused widespread damage, with the basement being particularly impacted by water infiltration through the ceiling and stairwell. The recovery effort, including water extraction, took 16 days to complete. The initial one-week school closure was extended for an additional week to allow repairs to continue. During this time, the staff and students adapted to virtual learning, demonstrating considerable patience and resilience despite the challenges. Following the diligent efforts of the construction crew, who worked day and night, the school was eventually restored. The collective patience of the school community facilitated a successful return to in-person learning after the extended closure.
