Thomas Jefferson Middle School Volleyball Team Celebrates a Season of Teamwork and Growth

The Thomas Jefferson Middle School volleyball team recently wrapped up a season defined by teamwork, dedication, and school spirit. The players showed their commitment by supporting one another, which fostered a strong sense of unity.

According to students and staff, the team demonstrated what it means to stay positive and work together, especially during tough matches. Isabella, a team member, remarked, “Volleyball is about more than just winning. It’s about helping each other and growing as a team”.

The team regularly held practices at the Lodi High School gym, focusing on improving technique, communication, and coordination. Players noted that these training sessions helped them build both their athletic skills and lasting friendships.

Coach Megan Lerro expressed pride in the team’s progress. “They’ve improved in so many ways,” she said. “But, more importantly, they’ve learned to rely on each other and build trust”.

As the season ends, students are already looking forward to the future of the team, with some younger students expressing interest in trying out next year. “They make volleyball look fun,” said sixth-grader Rafaella Flores. “I’d love to be part of it”.

The team’s sportsmanship, teamwork, and school pride have set a strong example for the entire school, both on and off the court. Their legacy is not just in their performance, but in the heart of the school community.
